The upper level is accessible by an outside path (with a short slope of 8 percent) or by steps inside. The gallery's main floor is accessible by ramp at the front. Located in the heart of Yosemite Valley, in Yosemite Village, between the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center and post office, near shuttle stop 5 and 9. Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve: 10am to 3pm, Year-round: 9 am to 5 pm daily, with extended hours in the summer. The Photography Workshop program began in 1940. Originally named Best’s Studio, the gallery has been operated in Yosemite Valley by the same (Ansel Adams) family since 1902.
